We have been asked repeatedly how to get the R4i Gold 3DS card working when encountering the error message #An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off.

Well, the following error message means that the R4i Gold 3DS has not been installed with the latest firmware fix for the DSi or 3DS.
#An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo Dsi Operations manual for details

Please note that as the R4i Gold 3DS is blocked by the DSi or 3DS, the installation of the latest firmware fix requires a DS Lite or a DSi with firmware lower than 1.4.2, at the point of writing.

If you have doubt on how to check the firmware version, here's the guide on how to check firmware:

1. Click SETTING (with the Tool Icon) on the main menu
2. Check the right hand corner of the top screen which says VER 1.x

Acekard 2i Firmware Error Message

Recently, we have been asked by quite a few users the following question:

I ordered this acekard 2i and after installing the firmware on to my micro sd card i insereted it into my dsi xl and it came up with the "danny phantom
urban jungle THQ" icon. When i selected the game icon it said the following message "An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo Dsi Operations manual for details" What can i do about this as the micro sd card card works fine in my other acekard 2i which brings up the Chessmaster icon upon loading up.

The message ''An error has occurred'' is a typical message which many users have encountered on their DSi, DSi XL, 3DS and Wii. It happens when either a blocked modchip or flashcart is detected by the console. As for the Acekard 2i, the solution to the error is quite straightforward. It involves flashing the Acekard 2i with the latest firmware fix so that it works with the DSi or 3DS firmware which blocks the Acekard 2i.

Some users reflect that when they try to boot their Acekard 2i, they have the error message "System file is missing"'

The reason why getting this error is that you haven't set up driver/ kernel of Acekard 2i correctly. The file " akmenu4.nds " is missing from the root directory of your MicroSD card. If acekard 2i user has Nintendo DS lite then firstly he/she must have to update it using Dsi firmware. With the use of DS lite do unzip the two files into microSD. On that time we should keep in mind that can boot the Acecard2i so this would be good to turn it on and go straight to the menu of Acekard2i where we can navigate to both of the files. In short we should boot the acekard2i then locate the file and run it. All in all this system error can be solved in couple of minutes and the acekard2i user can enjoy to use it.

R4i sdhc flash card WORKS with new DSi XL firmware 1.4u system proof. READ DESCRIPTION!

to bypass the 1.4u nintendo firmware, you must have the R4i flash card that says 1.4 on it….(the box for mine doesn’t, but it says it on the card) then go to the website shown in the video and download the lastest firmware for it. copy all the stuff you need off your memory card, then format your memory card, then put the downloaded files onto the memory card along with whatever roms or stuff you had on there before. stick it back into the R4i card and then into the dsi/dsi xl here’s a link to the file : www.r4i-sdhc.com and yeah i know i’m stupid and forgot to show you that my dsi xl is firmware version 1.4u but it really is, i swear. i just got it yesterday 4/6/10 and it already had 1.4u on it. so heres the way to get around that.

Tips Solving Acekard 2i “System File is Missing” Problems | Ishopvideogame

It is a very common event for Acekard 2i to have “System File Missing” or “System Not Found” or “System Errors”problems when you take all your ROMs and copy them to MicroSD card, insert the mSD card into the Acekard 2i card and then boot the DS up with the Acekard 2i. No matter how many times you try, it will do the same thing.

As this happens, do not panic. Please do follow the below tips.

1)If you have an Nintendo DS Lite, update your Acekard 2i using the DSi firmware 1.4 fix.

2)Just use your Nintendo DS Lite and follow the instructions:

Unzip the two files anywhere into your MicroSD. Keep in mind that the requirements is a console that can boot the Acekard 2i, with that in mind, turn it on, and go straight to the AceKard menu as you usually do. Then navigate to either of the two files (one of the viewing modes does not allow for you to read the text, so you can click Select to view it). If you want to update a single cart, use the ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds file. read through the warnings, and click Start and just wait until the update is done, reboot and you’re set. If you want to run the update on several carts, boot ak2ifw_update_14_DSL.nds, and you will follow the instructions just as before, but be prompted to insert the next Acekard 2i, and the next one and the one after that.
