R4i 3DS bricked due to failed firmware upgrade

A few users have encountered the following when upgrading their R4i 3DS with latest kernel so that it can work with 3DS 2.1.0 4 E and DSi 1.43 firmware.

Recently, one of my friends told me that his M3i zero did not blink during firmware upgrade. He said he had done more than 50 combination tests, but no luck finally.
