I never said it wasn’t hacking, I said it wasn’t hacking the DS. Which makes it a lot safer for the DS. Hacking the actual DS involves flashing custom files to the internal NAND stored inside the device. this is a custom card reader that sends custom code to the DS disguised as a legitimate game. I know what hacking is. I wasn’t trying to start a debate about the definition of “hacking”, I was just stating a fact, and downloading ROMS isn’t called hacking. It’s called piracy.
I see no issues with these. Nintendo is waisting their money trying to stop hacking, and killing an entire generation of amatuer and homebrew programmers at the same tim. So is sony and micro$oft for that matter.
This is a flash cart, you are not actually hacking your DS, just running a custom card reader. If you ever tried to play a normal game online there would be no way of telling that you used this exploit.
This is the wrong view and wrong manner of economic life in Gaming right? If so, then so be it… However, used games can sometimes be kinda cheap (10 dollars on Internet)… *sigh* for someone who wants to become a VG Designer later… I do the wrong thing… What Ever, if the NEW NEW (No DS) Handheld comes, I’ll just buy the cheap cheap used NextGenNHandheld Games or some games at da store or maybe buying a R4*?* later for the NEXTGEN… I try the 1ste 2 options first…
for me I have quite a simple solution….don’t play online, don’t update your DSi, no worries…I’m actually glad that my internet connection happens to be wired
is that actually true?……I find that hard to beleive, the only way they might catch you is if you hacked online. Eh, I mean for them to do that they would have to check the entire system themselves…i think you meant that they make updates that will block out your ds if the update detects a flash card then, yes. But the R4i, Acekard, EZflash and the other teams always update their flash cards so idk….for them to find out that you’re using hack tools is slim to none, unless you’re stupid
Did you read the Nintendo agreement? They said in every update they check your system and see fiy uo hacked it or not.. If they find out you did then you will be banned from the Nintendo Network for a while.
lets be frank…nobody gives two shits about pirating except for the companies themselves….and they spend way too much money trying to make their systems anti-hackable when they eventually get hacked anyway…take the DSi example…it just came out and in only 2 weeks or a month, it has already been hacked. Now that is fast for my standards. games cost like 60 dollars and up, why don’t they just drop the prices to at least 30 dollars per pop? and you will see good results against piracy.
well everybody knows that this stuff is illegal, no one cares hell I got 2 flash cards myself…but it is only illegal if used for downloading original pirated games…..if it’s just homebrew (made games from people that are not from companies, or made games from you.) Then it is not illegal…..new games or even used games are nowadays too expensive…want to stop piracy? stop making overpriced games and you will see a decrease in pirating, and today’s economy makes pirating even stronger.
the best card is supercard dstwo
dealextreame, but you can get an acekard 2i from them as well, the acekard is the preferred.

If you have the cart inserted and is stupid enough to update while its in, nintendo might ban you. Like that tiem on the Wii.
No, its called a hack. When you can downlaod free games over the web illegally, its considered hacking. Look it up.

one last thing why would want to play online with your DSi anyway?….I mean online play, PC…internet browsing, PC….media, music and videos, PC….
