@Blezk0695 1.4J means Japan – 1.4U means United States. So it just means different countries and will work the same

I’v just bought my mum a DSi for xmas and have realised that most or all R4i carts won’t work with this 1.4E Firmware.
Anyone got it working on 1.4E yet? If so, which cart and what update?

I honestly cannot tell you. When people say R4i SDHC they think there is only one. There are literally dozens and dozens of versions of the R4i SDHC. You need to find out precisely WHICH one it is. Go to the website found on the box, and you will either get directions there. If not, then unfortunately you bought one of the R4i carts that cannot update.

It means your cart doesn’t support 1.4, aka you messed up the update or you didn’t do the update yet.
