well, mabey this is why. First of all. When I code homebrew, or a new homebrew comes out, it pisses me off enough that r4s dont run alot of homebrew, and if i had a fake one, it will limit me even further. and SECONDLY, with all of this new anti-piracy protecction on the newer games, having a fake flashcard will eventually end you up not being able to play the patched/hex edited/arm7/arm9′ed games….
So I would rather have my r4 be as legit as possible..

I don’t know how this can work. Surely it requires a hardware fix to change this? otherwise the fake sdhc cards running genuine software wont work? I dont think ill bother to be honest. Im looking to get a cyclo card for the sdhc anyway.

fake r4ds have 2 black square things when you take of the cover and if you peal the sticker of it should say ‘not made by the r4ds team’ (something like that) if it was fake.
