Recently, one of my friends told me that his M3i zero did not blink during firmware upgrade. He said he had done more than 50 combination tests, but no luck finally.

What he has done is as follows:>
– format my SD cards (tested with 1Gb Kingston, 4Gb Sandisk, 8Gb Noname) using Windows (FAT and FAT32 with different stripes), using Panasonic SDFormatter and also using Linux QTparted tool…
– used 2 different SD card readers (M3’s and Kingston one)
– copy F_CORE.DAT file only (V1.4 from different sources from the web and also and old V1.0 during other tests) into SD card
– place SD card into M3i (a click sound has to be heard, no chance to be on the wrong side!)
– plug the USB power supply cable into M3i (tried both side of the cable), I tested USB power supply cable and it’s delivering 5 volt as it should be!
– plug USB cable into computers (3 different computers tried)

Although so many things he has done, led never blinked and for sure no result when using into DSI. Even a non formatted SD card is not lighting on the led…

As this happens, do not panic, what you only need to do is to follow the following three tips:
1, Place the “F_core “ onto micro SD.
2, Insert M3i zero
3, turn on the DS/DSL prower & waiting …

Note: You must ensure the M3i Zero is empty otherwise you can not upgrade it.
